Age In Place Charlottesville

Compassionate support for aging in place.

Helping Seniors Continue Living at Home — Safely and Confidently

Friendly, dependable support for older adults in the Charlottesville area — from companion care and wellness checks to home help, transportation, yard work, and technology assistance.

At Age in Place Charlottesville, we believe growing older shouldn’t mean giving up the comfort of home or the community you love. We’re here to lend a helping hand with the everyday tasks that become harder over time.

Our goal is simple: helping older adults remain safe, connected, and comfortable at home for as long as possible.

Our Services:

Supporting Independence at Home

Most older adults — approximately 75–90% — prefer to age in place, remaining in their own homes and communities as they grow older.

We understand why. Home is where memories are made, routines feel familiar, and neighbors become friends.

The man is wearing a white T-shirt with colorful teddy bear illustrations and text that reads "GREATFUL DAD." The elderly woman has gray hair, glasses, and is wearing a patterned jacket.

Age in Place Charlottesville was founded by Tom Sours and inspired by more than 20 years of caring for his mother and helping her remain safely at home next door. Through this firsthand experience, Tom understands both the rewards and challenges that come with supporting an aging loved one.

Today, that same neighborly spirit and personal care guide everything we do.
